“Beyond Borrowing an Egg: Opportunities and Obstacles in Modern Utopian Community Design” is the synthesis of a multi-part utopian community study conducted as an honors thesis.

I spent more than a year visiting intentional communities across the US and conducting an exhaustive literature review of the international history of utopian organizational philosophies, aiming to understand the relationship between artistic spatial design and community strength.

Through the French Ministry of Education (TAPIF cohort), I taught cultural and language lessons to French youth.

As an educator through the French Ministry of Education, I taught 18 classes a week, with over 600 students at 3 schools from first through fifth grade. I developed and perfected a wide-reaching curriculum for each class’s needs.

The Meantime Coffee Co is a 501(c)(3) student-run nonprofit coffee shop and social justice hub.

As Chief Operating Officer for our second year of operation, I led a team of 26 to meet an unprecedented goal of half a million dollars in sales and coordinated daily functioning. I also negotiated 7 partnerships with local companies and solidified our environmental impact as a compost and recycling leader in the NC Triangle. In addition, I developed a working knowledge of a variety of online management platforms including Quickbooks, MailChimp, Slack, Chanty, Tessitura, Shopkeep, Clover, and Toast.
